Stacey Filak — Hospital Manager
Stacey Filak joined our clinic in March, 2015 as a part-time Client Care Specialist and was promoted to Hospital Manager in September, 2016. She grew up in Vermontville, Michigan and currently lives in Portage. She attended Western Michigan University, studying English and Secondary Education. Her pets include a yellow lab named Bigby, and three cats – Charlie, MoMo, and Ember.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching football, playing games with her husband and four children, and reading. She also writes novels part-time and is publishing her first book in 2018.
Maggie Stein, LVT — Veterinary Technician
Maggie Stein is a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) who began working at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic in September, 2011. She grew up in Schoolcraft, Michigan and currently lives in Kalamazoo with her two cats, Garmin and Walter. Maggie studied at Baker College, where she earned her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences of Veterinary Technology.
Maggie enjoys going to concerts, playing cards, gardening, river tubing, grilling out and long camping weekends. She also has an interest in animal behavior.
Jen Field — Veterinary Assistant
Jen has been employed as a Veterinary Assistant at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic since April, 1993. Her hometown is Coldwater, Michigan, and she currently lives in Kalamazoo with her husband and son, as well as two dogs and two cats. Jen studied at Kellogg Community College and Paragon School of Pet Grooming. Her interests include camping, playing cards, animal behavior and spending time with friends and family.
Megan Bishop — Veterinary Assistant
Megan Bishop has been employed with Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic since October, 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is a native of St. Johns, Michigan and attended Saginaw Valley State University, as well as earning a Veterinary Assistant certificate from Animal Behavior College before moving to the Kalamazoo area.
In her free time, she likes spending time with her family and her dogs, Remi and Sunshine, and cat, Kitty. She also enjoys traveling and plans to begin working toward her LVT in the coming months.
Rachel Heuser — Veterinary Assistant & Client Care Specialist
Rachel Heuser began working as a Client Care Specialist and Veterinary Assistant at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic in March, 2005. She studied at Western Michigan University. She was raised in Hesperia, Michigan and now lives in Kalamazoo. Her household includes two dogs, two cats, and several chickens, along with the occasional duck and turkey.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys gardening, camping, traveling, kayaking, learning homesteading skills and doing any fun outdoor activities. She considers herself a foodie and will try anything new and interesting.
Paige Garner — Veterinary Assistant & Client Care Specialist
Paige Garner joined Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic in June 2015 as a part-time Veterinary Assistant and now works as a full-time Client Care Specialist. She grew up in Portage, but recently bought a home in Parchment. She attended Ross Medical Education Center in the Veterinary Assistant program.
Paige has two pit bulls, Jax and Ella, and two cats named Leo and Zoey. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and pets.
Kris Zakula — Veterinary Assistant & Client Care Specialist
Kris Zakula started working at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic as a Pet Care Attendant in July, 2012, and has since taken on the role of Veterinary Assistant and Client Care Specialist. She grew up in Shipshewana, Indiana and currently lives in Kalamazoo with her husband and young daughter.
She studied interior design in Chicago and History at Purdue University. Kris has a one-year-old pit bull mix, Monty, and a senior cat named Evie. Kris enjoys decorating, reading, and baking.
Julie DeBoer-Harrison — Veterinary Assistant & Client Care Specialist
Julie DeBoer-Harrison joined our team in July, 2014 as a client care specialist and now works at both the front desk and as a veterinary assistant. She grew up in Vicksburg, Michigan, which she still calls home with her husband and young daughter. Julie attended Southern Arkansas University, as well as serving in the United States Army before coming to work at SRVC. She is currently attending Penn Foster to attain her veterinary technician license.
Still an active member of the Army Reserves, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, riding and caring for her horses, gardening and crafts. Julie has a border collie named Cowgirl and a beagle-mix named Boogaloo, as well as numerous barn cats at home.
Josh Beaghan — Client Care Specialist
Josh joined our team in July, 2017 as a full-time Client Care Specialist. He grew up in Jackson, Michigan and attended Western Michigan University where he studied Communications. After college, Josh worked as an on-air radio personality for several years. Currently, he lives in Schoolcraft with his family and pets, including three dogs and two cats.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending his free time playing with his two children, playing golf, and he loves anything pug-related.
Devin Mann — Pet Care Attendant
Devin Mann is our Pet Care Attendant. He has worked at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic since March, 2013. Devin graduated from Mattawan High School and still lives there with his wife and young daughter, as well as three cats.
In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, landscaping, farming, raising chickens and ducks, and taking care of animals.
