Christopher Rohwer, DVM
As many of our loyal clients know, Dr. Rohwer has been the Chief of Staff at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic for over 16 years. Growing up, he spent time in Corrain, Ohio, and Saginaw, Michigan, and he currently resides in Kalamazoo. Dr. Rohwer received both his undergraduate and DVM degrees from Michigan State University. After veterinary school, Dr. Rohwer spent seven years practicing at a multi-doctor, mixed animal practice where he worked extensively with dairy herd health management.
Dr. Rohwer's medical interests include ophthalmology and orthopedic surgery. He truly believes in delivering the best possible care for his clients and their pets. Outside of work, Dr. Rohwer enjoys woodworking, fly fishing and photography. He also likes spending his free time with his family and pets, which include a German Shorthair Pointer, two independent barn cats and several chickens.
Charlie Cannizzaro, DVM
Dr. Cannizzaro ("Dr. Charlie") has been a veterinarian at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic since 2011. He grew up in metro Detroit and now resides in Three Rivers, Michigan. He received his undergraduate and DVM degrees from Michigan State University. After graduating from veterinary school in 1996, Dr. Charlie spent four years at a large animal practice in Homer, Michigan. He then worked at a mixed animal practice for three years in Vicksburg, Michigan, before joining our team.
Dr. Charlie is interested in small animal internal medicine and surgery, providing your furry family members with preventative medicine and management of disease to provide a good quality of life for your pets. He spends his leisure time with his wife, two sons and his daughter. His pets include three dogs, one cat, two horses, a pony, a miniature horse.
Virl Martin, DVM
Dr. Virl Martin is a veterinarian at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic, joining us in November 2013. She grew up and still resides in Coldwater, Michigan. Dr. Martin earned an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, then went on to study veterinary medicine at Kansas State University, where she received her DVM degree in 2008.
After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Martin moved west to practice in sunny Phoenix, Arizona for a year before returning to Coldwater to practice at an equine and small animal clinic. She has a special interest in internal medicine, preventative pet healthcare, client education, and surgery.
In her spare time, Dr. Martin loves gardening, baking, and spending time with family – including her four-legged family (three dogs, three barn cats, and two horses). She also devotes time to fixing up her 100-year-old farmhouse.
Laura McEndaffer, DVM
Dr. Laura McEndaffer grew up in Estes Park, Colorado and currently resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She received an undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and earned a DVM degree from Cornell University. Prior to joining the Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic team, Dr. McEndaffer practiced in Franklin, North Carolina. Her special interests include behavioral medicine.
Outside of the practice, Dr. McEndaffer enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and traveling. She also has an Australian cattle dog and a cat at home.
Lauren Groppi-Enders, DVM
Dr. Lauren Groppi-Enders grew up in Kalamazoo and is excited to be returning to her hometown to join Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic's team! While in high school, Dr. Enders observed at SRVC as part of the local EFE program. She also worked part-time at the clinic while obtaining her undergraduate degree at Kalamazoo College.
After earning her DVM from Ross University in St. Kitts and Nevis in Barbados, Dr. Enders practiced in Kentucky and Ohio, specializing in equine medicine. Her other interests include internal medicine, particularly endocrinology, and preventative medicine.
While away from the clinic, Dr. Enders enjoys camping and exploring the great outdoors, cooking, and spending time with her husband and daughter. She feels very lucky to have a happy, curious, active toddler to chase around, and she and her family are excited to welcome their second child later this spring. The Enders have two dogs (a goofy Labrador named Tux and an energetic coconut retriever named Jeter) and one cat (a very fluffy, lovable, domestic long hair named Bourbon.)
Dr. Enders is eager to get to know SRVC’s new and existing patients as she practices at the clinic that always felt like home!
